Yesterday I heard from an old friend of mine that, in his opinion, selling often is like a flirt. And I agree 100%.

Depending on the opposite, flirting could be funny, straightforward, charming, time-consuming, or exhaustive. In most cases, it should have more or less emotions, a plan, a goal, a pitch, and some good answers to objection handling. It should always be friendly, smart, polite, and with a good portion of self-confidence. You should know your “product,” and you should also be sure that both parties benefit from the “deal”. Well, you should know your opposites demand, his fear, and how to convince him to your solution.

Flirting is a process of back and force, of listening, moderating, “always be closing” and weighting the invested time with the expected outcome. And so is Sales.

What do you think?
